Tulip Time

In late April, our CGC President Brenda shared some photos for the blog.  She wrote:

Last fall I planted 405 tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, and dutch irises. This Easter morning the tulips are making a show. They are beautiful. Varieties in the front yard under a dogwood are Apricot Delight and Candy Apple Delight. In the backyard are yellow, orange and red are a mix – I don’t know the name– and with them are Daydream. Planted in the four squares are Tulip Pride Mix. The Reds in the front yard are road side ones we dug 35 years ago.

The daffodils are long gone, but will make a show early next spring.

Many tulips only make a show for one year, but the delightful massed color pops in spring make the splurge worth it.
