Trip to Grand Turk

Denise shared a few photos from a trip to Grand Turk Island. Where is this? According to Wikipedia:

Found in the Atlantic, “Grand Turk Island is an island in the Turks and Caicos Islands. It is the largest island in the Turks Islands (the smaller of the two archipelagos that make up the island state)… (6.9 sq mi)

Grand Turk was first colonized in 1681 by Bermudians, who set up the salt industry in the islands. In 1766 it became the capital of the country. For some time, at least until the early 19th century, Grand Turk was often referred to as Grand Cay… A cay is an island that forms atop a coral reef.

Bermudians colonized the island and set up a salt industry in the 17th century, the remains of which can be seen in the salt ponds and windmills. The island has both wild horses and donkeys.

Denise took this trip in February 2019 and took a few pictures of the topography and some of the plants.  The last picture is what she came home to Maryland to see…
