National Garden Clubs offers opportunities to take home study courses in Basic Horticulture (gardening practices) and Design Study Units (flower arranging and table settings) for those who cannot attend NGC schools. Each manual can be ordered from their store and costs $10.
There are also schools one can attend: Environmental Studies, Flower Show School, Gardening Study, Landscape Design and refreshers for those who have already taken the courses. There may be various levels of courses offered (I, II, III, IV) in different locations around the country. It is suggested to take the courses in order, but it is not a requirement.
