Several members of Carroll Garden Club took a tour of High Glen Gardens in August. Gayle’s flier reads:
“High Glen Gardens is a young, 64-acre private estate at the base of the Catoctin Mountains in picturesque Frederick, MD.There are approximately 10 acres of impressive formal gardens arranged into garden rooms, including a large perennial border, rose garden,annual beds, koi pond, greenhouse, Japanese garden, Mediterranean garden and English cottage garden. In addition, there are extensive perimeter plantings and open fields, as well as newly-restored natural areas that include a wetland and upland meadow.”
