Kitty litter“Recycled wood shavings or paper are better than clay litter and are best started when the cat is young as they may not adjust to the change later. The best disposal method is doubled plastic bags in the trash. Toxmoplasma may be present in cat waste; it lives up to a year, is toxic and should not be [allowed to seep] into ground or [public] water supplies. Biodegradable litter and bags are available.
