I think we should record the 4th largest recorded snowfall in the east in a few photos. After a much warmer than average fall and winter to date, we had record snowfall dumped on us January 22-23. Snowfall is generally welcomed to protect our perennials from frost heave, but my goodness this was more than necessary, Mother Nature! Now we just have to wait for the huge snow mounds pushed skyward by the plow blades to melt down. Then we can safely drive to our favorite gardening centers to check out new seed stashes!
