The Beautiful Garden Committee has sent 8 certificates to homeowners in the county so far this summer and continues to be on the lookout for more attractive front gardens. The locations, to date, have been in Westminster, Taneytown, Finksburg, and Smallwood. Three of the homeowners sent lovely thank you notes to the chairman expressing their delight at having their gardens recognized and one even invited us to stop by and have a look at the back yard where he has 8’ zinnias growing. Perhaps this would be a possibility for future garden tours!
