For our June workshop, we were asked to bring clear containers and flowers that would work if submerged. Connie showed us how this concept works in various shapes and sizes of vases using orchids. We noted how the effect of water and glass can magnify the blooms and also that certain types of flowers do not work as well visually. Using various colors of glass pebbles can also jazz up a floral water design. One can have a completely submerged arrangement or just a portion of the design under water.
