Last year we went to Longwood Gardens for Christmas. This year, we returned to the in-house greens workshop. We scoured our yards and neighborhoods for evergreens and pine cones and purchased floral extras. Aside from baskets and buckets of goodies, there was a huge tarp loaded with all manner of cut greenery to select from. A number of us were teamed up to work on our Old Courthouse decoration project while others were designing items to take home. Julia coordinated volunteers at making swags for the balconies (Joan, Sue, a guest, Barb…), Nancy and Gayle put together table top arrangements, Diane gathered material for a mantel, Jan and Jackie made a hanging wreath and Carmen made an arrangement and assisted others.
Our hostess committee was led by Fran with Sue, Denise providing a savory feast. Special thanks to Pat Lawler for table decorations and Denise for arranging the hollyberry floor and hostess table decor.
Charlotte was our focus speaker who talked of her varied experiences gardening in Carroll County.
