Joan Epler’s Rose Advice:
By now your roses should have broken bud and have several sets of leaves. It’s time to start your spraying program. I use an insecticide (Eight), a fungicide (Infuse) and a tablespoon of fish emulsion to a gallon of water. Put them all in the sprayer at the same time (use label directions for the Eight and Infuse). Spray the roses thoroughly as well as the soil below the bush. Do this every 7 – 10 days. It’s a good idea to alternate fungicides once in a while.
