When the dreary days of winter seem to be in the rear-view mirror and I am greeted by birdsong as the sun rises, it’s time to take a little spring walk around my block to see what has emerged. Still at least a month until we are considered past the frost date. These photos were taken within Westminster village town limits on April 6.
- In bud,not open
- Good thing I took this shot. A work crew raked all the flower heads off.
- These never seem to spread in their location among tree roots.
- A large backyard clump
- These show their faces unlike the weedy types in my yard.
- So pretty hanging its trusses over a fence!
- Crocus among rocks
- The only hyacinths seen on my walk.
- These huge beeches along the alley are still quite bare.
