One of the cool things about visiting other club members is that we can see the changes in their gardens over time. I had an opportunity to attend a luncheon at Jan’s recently and took some pictures. I regret that her newest garden area is not evident in the photos except at a distance.
- Espaliered apple trees
- Baby fruit! Apples are easy to pick from an espalier.
- Delicate blossoms of Miss Kim lilac-fragrant!
- Jan’s new red Weigela–“Cardinal Bush” is what my gram called it.
- These buttery Cinquefoil blooms adorn a large shrubby perennial. I want one!
- Jan replaced her very large primorose-yellow Scotch Broom with this younger one.
- By the shed, her Hakuro-nishiki willow looks in great condition.
- What a great spot! Note the barn in the distance? Her new garden is where those evergreens are.
- Jan’s pond has really matured since the first time I saw it. Couldn’t get the waterlilies in focus…
